Baptism. No better way to finish a mission than dressed in white in the waters of baptism. Sis Cecilia Rodriguez and her son were baptized! She was certainly a miracle. 

We first met her just 5 weeks ago. We were knocking doors and we were about ready to go to our next destination, but Elder Ortega wanted to knock one last door. Sis Rodriguez opened up and invited us right in. We taught a little bit about faith and then had to leave. 

She didn't come to church that first Sunday but we had our second lesson the following Tuesday and we brought Sis Loperena along. Since then the Rodriguez family hasn't missed a week at church and they have come to nearly every activity to which they have been invited. 

I am so happy to have finished my mission in my favorite area. 

I'm comin' home...

On Saturday we did service! One of the parks here in Brownsville has a Christmas event with a bunch of different themed houses. For example a boat (pic 2) or a Catholic Cathedral (pic 3). Our job was to clean the windows and sweep the casitas [small houses] and then set up the display inside. The wig on the little catholic girl fit me pretty well (pic 1, above). 

Cecilia Rodriguez brought her husband to church this last week, so we had an entire investigator family there! She should be getting baptized this next weekend. Even if she doesn't this weekend, she will soon. Prayers please.
