Kind Of Like A Dad

Hello world!

I want you all to see the beauty of Laredo. We have a shack on the right and a mansion on the left. This place is crazy.

There are nice neighborhoods and ghetto neighborhoods, but sometimes they just mix themselves up and you find random mansions in the middle of the street. It makes no sense.

We got super chastised this week. It was awesome! First of all we didn't do so well on our goals as a mission, so on the 31st, Thursday, President Maluenda called all the leadership down to McAllen to talk to us. The Zone Leaders and Sister Leaders go down once a month anyways for MLC [Missionary Leadership Council], and they started at 9:30. They invited District Leaders to join them at 1:30. Again it was a 2 hour meeting 3 hours away, 6 hours in the car for 2 hours of meeting. But it was actually worth it this time! We learned a ton. Super good. And I got to see all my mission friends!

Then in General Conference this weekend they spoke boldly and powerfully, especially in the Priesthood Session. It was awesome. My favorite talk was by D. Todd Christofferson. It was just full of the Spirit. It just makes me want to be a great father. As a district leader, I'm kind of like a dad for 5 other missionaries, so the talk inspired me to help and love and serve my kids. 🤓

That is about it. Just a bunch of awesome learnings. 'Til next time.

Adios, amigos!
